First, create a bead link from a large evil eye bead.
TIP: Slide a bead onto a headpin. Bend the wire of the headpin in a 90° angle just above the bead. Grasp the headpin wire, about 3/8"-½" [0.3 cm-1.3 cm] from the bend, between the jaws of your round nose pliers. Rotate the pliers toward you, keeping a firm grip on the wire, until a small loop is formed. Wrap the excess wire around itself below the loop a couple of times, then trim excess wire.

Separate two sections of six links each from your larger clothespin chain.

Open a large jump ring then slide on one end of a large link section, the top loop of your bead link and one end of the other large link section. Close the jump ring for the first part of your longest layer.
TIP: To open and close a jump ring, simply grasp the jump ring on both sides with chain nose pliers and twist the ring open, from side-to-side. Never pull the jump ring which can cause distortion.

Cut a 10" [25.4 cm] piece of transite cord.

Tie one end onto a small, closed jump ring. Add a dab of glue to the knot.

String beads as desired onto the cord for about 5" [12.7 cm].

Tie the end onto the end link from one side of your longest layer and tuck excess thread into a few adjacent beads; then trim the thread. Add a dab of glue to the knot and let dry.

Repeat Steps 4-7 for the other side of your longest layer. Set aside.

For your middle layer, cut a 20" [50.8 cm] piece of transite cord; then string beads as desired onto the cord for about 16½" [41.9 cm].

Tie a small, closed jump ring to the end and tuck excess thread into a few adjacent beads; then trim the thread. Add a dab of glue to the knot and let dry. Set your middle layer aside.

Remove the lobster clasp and jump ring with extender from a cable chain necklace. Set them aside.

Cut chain to about 13" [33 cm] and slide on a charm.

Add a small jump ring to each end of the chain.

Open a little larger jump ring, add the extender and the smaller jump ring from one end of each layer of your necklace. Close the jump ring.
TIP: Use image as a guide.

Open a little larger jump ring, add the lobster clasp and the smaller jump ring from the other end of each layer of your necklace. Close the jump ring.
